This is such a cute place! My son and I were at U Penn for a track meet and haven’t eaten all day. We searched for places to eat in the area and I came across this place. I’ve never seen a restaurant rated 5.0 on Google and now I can see why it’s rated 5.0! Amazing food, adorable place and the waiter was so kind and friendly!!! Definitely recommend!!

This place is a cute little restaurant located on the corner in South Philly. There’s street parking available. It’s also BYOB! I think it slipped my mind but I would’ve definitely brought some alcohol! However, their margarita mix did just the trick as well. I went here with a group on a hot Saturday day and we were seated immediately. I 100% recommend the elote. It was so good. The margarita mix with tamarind juice was so good as well. That hint of tajin chili/lime seasoning gave it that little kick! The bang bang fried shrimp is to die for! The pollo tacos I didn’t get to try, but they looked great. Quesabirria tacos were so good as well as the sauce. The Tinga empanadas - I also didn’t try but it looked appetizing. The guacamole and queso fundido were soooooo goooood! They were hot and we may have mixed them together for that zesty flavor. I also like that they offered bottled water. Overall, the price wasn’t bad and the food was actually really good. I would definitely come back here because the prices were decent for the food that we had and they were good portion sizes that we didn’t feel bloated afterwards. This was a great place and I would recommend it to anyone who loves trying out new foods! I also liked that it was family owned and our waitress was friendly as well. 10/10 overall.

The food here is super authentic! The chef is incredible and super creative. His birria is always a great choice, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Super cute hidden gem in south Philly. Highly recommend!

The reviews are what made us come here!! This place was awesome - and all of the food came out in good timing and was hot and fresh. We had the potato appetizer, the burrito, the birria tacos, the lamb barbacoa tacos, the chocolate cake, the tres leches cake, and the dessert drink. Everything was delicious - especially the birria tacos. We were the only ones in here - we couldn’t believe it.

Really enjoyed lunch at this cute and welcoming restaurant. The food is inspired by the chef's experience from the Guerrero region. We ordered the tamale, tacos birrei and the tacos barbacoa and the horchata - all delicious! I look forward to going back!

Cute little place in Philly. I went for lunch. Was not super busy. Service was very prompt and courteous. I had an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. All three were delivered right on time. Not too early or too long after each round. Food was delicious! Authentic quality. Server was very friendly and full of smiles. Will definitely go back to this hidden gem when I get to Philadelphia again! Thank you for a great experience!

The service and food here is exceptional. We stop by doing a late Friday night because it was BYOB and this place did not disappoint us. We love the atmosphere but sometimes parking can be a challenge. Check it out when you get a chance.

Absolute gem of a restaurant delivering some truly inspired A Mexican cuisine (sprinkled with a bit of fusion) that is different from anything I’ve experienced so far in Philly. This is some of the best Mexican food you will find in the city. Dishes are delicious, ultra fresh, and creative, with an attention to detail. We were sad that they ran out of guacamole, but the bang bang shrimp was an enjoyable starter. The tempura shrimp in the shrimp tacos were possibly the crispiest ever, and the esquites and chile de arbol salsa made the tacos both refreshing and a little spicy. I’ve had birria tacos from over a dozen spots and these flavorful birria tacos rank high up there, featuring tender beef and a rich consome. Pollo asado tacos surprised us with some tandoori spice, which was absolutely delightful, and so were the crispy onions on top. Can’t wait to go back for more tacos and to try other things on the menu, including the mole enchiladas and desserts. We enjoyed meeting the chef. He was kind, humble and talked about the influence of cultures and regions behind his dishes. This place is an absolute must visit, and I hope they thrive!
